Who’s Erin

Lifestyle, Style
I figured it was time to tell you guys a little bit about myself. Some people might know, and some might not. Most people either view me as 1. The girl who is always dancing. 2. The goofball. Or 3. The girl who is super competitive.
While all these are true, there is so much more to me.
  • I’m a lover of the south, small towns, sports, and Jesus Christ!
  • I like to believe there’s good in everyone. I forgive way too easily and I’m as naïve as they come, but at the end of the day, I like to believe every person has good within.
  • I can be found dancing in the kitchen cooking dinner on the reg.  Whether I’m sad, happy, nervous, or excited, you’ll find me dancing.
  • I’m a fan of real. When I say real, I mean all things real, the good, bad and ugly. Be you, never someone you’re not. I like to think when you meet me, it’s what you see is what you get.
  • My mistakes are my fave. I know that’s a bizarre thing to say, but it’s true. Yes, of course when they happen I’m freaking out and hating myself for it. But that mistake most likely taught me something and helped me grow into becoming a better person.
  • If Beyoncé and Eric Church had a baby, I’d be that baby! Sometimes I channel my inner Sasha Fierce and pretend to be Beyoncé’s background dancer. Then the next second I’m wishing I was in Nashville singing every Eric Church song. Not sure how those two cross but I’m a fan of both.
  • I’m a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. There are times I question why… a lot, but I know God’s in control and his plans are far bigger than my understanding. Sometimes rejection is God’s protection!

  • I’m a fan of adventure. I love last minute road trips or car jam sessions. I love the rush of having to make a last-minute decision.
  • I’m a believer in a great love and a good heartbreak. If you found Mr. prince charming on day 1 then that’s amazing. But, I like to think you don’t really know what kind of love you’re looking for until you have been with the wrong ones. You learn what kind of love you deserve and how to appreciate it when you do have it.
  • I’m a fan of good friends and late nights. If you and your friends get together and you don’t feel like your 12 again, then are they really your friends? I mean dance sessions, followed by the weekly gossip, topped off with late night pizza calls, am I right or am I right?

  • Being confident in who you are and standing up for what you believe in can go a long way. Don’t change your opinion to please others. Even if I know you’re right, I will argue just to try and prove my point. Doesn’t mean you’re wrong, it means you know your beliefs and a difference of opinion is okay.
  • Lastly, I’m a fan of being on your own for a time. Seeing and feeling different emotions all on your own is very important. The feeling of depending on your self for pure happiness is something everyone should experience. You have to find happiness from within. No person, place, item, or job can fill that happiness, only you and Jesus. 😉

Weekend Guide in Nashville, TN.

TN., Travel
Nashville- the music city and possibly the bachelorette capital of the country. It’s the place for food and country music, which are two of my favorite things. I’ve always loved visiting Nashville and every time I go I get more and more excited. This recent visit was to celebrate a friend’s bachelorette party and I assure you it was nothing short of fun, from the moment we arrived.
Here is a day to night guide of what to check out in Nashville.

Day One:

We started off with lunch at The Pharmacy, a burger parlor and beer garden in East Nashville.
The burgers are to die for! I’m serious. Not being a huge burger fan, I would kill for their classic Pharmacy Burger right now. This is one stop I’ve made for every visit in Nashville and it never disappoints.
731 McFerrin Ave, Nashville 37206.

Next, it was off to get pampered at The Dry House Nashville.
This place will make you feel nothing less of high class as you set back, relax, and let someone else deal with the stress of styling your hair for the night. As we entered, we were greeted with champagne and a list of hairstyles we could choose from. They had everything from high ponies and braids, to beachy waves and top knots. We also had a large party getting their hair washed and styled, but they managed to knock all 11 of us out in 2 hours. Snaps to these guys, they’re the real MVP! Oh, and at the end of our time, we managed to have a celeb sighting of Hayley Hubbard. She is the wife of Tyler Hubbard, the lead vocalist of Florida Georgia Line. We hear she’s a regular visitor.
Check out their list of hairstyles HERE.

Night One

After getting our hair done, it was time to throw on our clothes, put on lipstick and head out for a night of drinks, dinner, and dancing!
We started off at LA Jackson’s, a rooftop bar in the Gulch. They have an amazing view of Nashville and a bomb frosé, my fave! If you’re looking to feel fabulous, this is the place!
401 11th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203

Then it was time for dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille. Although we ran upon this gem, it ended up being my favorite dish of the weekend! I ordered the Brick Chicken and wow was it ah-mazing! Also, I recommend the Truffled Mac & Cheese, it was the best I’ve ever tasted!
1201 Demonbreun St Suite 104, Nashville, TN 37203

Now it was time for some dancing on Broadway. A few places we enjoyed were Honky Tonk Central and The Stage.

Day Two:

Did someone say brunch? We kicked off the evening at Bartaco, a very trendy Mexican style restaurant in the 12 South area. The menu has a lot of different options but their mainly known for their taco selection. They are small tacos but this is nice because you can try different ones. I chose the beef, chicken, and fish tacos, but the beef was my fave! Guess who we spotted here…Lauren Akins! Yes, the wife of Thomas Rhett! We all freaked out and wanted a pic!
2526 12th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37204
Then it was time to explore the 12th South area, a very popular place for the locals. There are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and the best murals for pictures.
This is also where Reese Witherspoon’s store, Draper James, is located. You could find yourself a true southern belle shopping here. There’s big hats, bright dresses, a monogram booth, and sweet tea! That’s right, it’s only true southern hospitality to be served sweet tea as you enter the room.
Also, if you have a sweet tooth like me, you must check out Five Daughter’s Bakery. Try their famous 100 layer donut, too! They’re a mix between a croissant and a donut and it’s so great! I got the Chocolate Sea Salt and wow, it was perfect!

Night Two

We ate and danced the night away all at one place, The FGL House. The 4 story restaurant had the best food and atmosphere. They had a band playing in the main section, a DJ on the rooftop bar, and a piano bar on the bottom floor. This place was so much fun, we even danced in the rain!
For dinner, I ordered the MARGHERITA flatbread, but the fan favorite was the NO JOKE MAC ‘N CHEESE.
120 3rd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201

Day Three

This morning was the day to pack up and head back to Alabama, but we couldn’t leave without stopping by one last place, the famous Pancake Pantry. This place is a Nashville tradition for generations of families. It’s been open since 1961. The whole menu seemed delicious to me but I had to go with my girl Taylor Swift’s favorite dish, the sweet potato pancakes! Let’s just say Tayler never lets me down. They were so yummy!

Hope you guys enjoyed this weekend guide to Nashville! Please keep me updated if you visit any of these fun places. I would love to know what y’all think!

Blooming with Bo’s

Style

The days are getting warmer and the flowers are blooming! This only means one thing…spring is HERE! I’ve recently picked up a few staple pieces for my spring wardrobe from Bo’s Boutique.
The first piece is this adorable gingham top. It’s perfect for the cooler days and I’m loving all the details! From the buttons to the bell sleeves, what’s not to love? I’ve paired it with some white flare jeans and wedges, but this top could be worn so many ways. You could tie this top up like I’ve done and pair it with shorts or even a skirt, too.

The next piece I received from Bo’s was this super cute distressed denim skirt! There’s so much to love about this skirt I don’t even know where to start. It has a fun ruffle detail on the top and it’s the perfect length for me, being that I’m 5’8. It’s really versatile and can be worn with several tops. This denim skirt should definitely be in your closet for spring and summer. You won’t regret it, I promise!
Head over to Bo’s Boutique and check out all their fun new arrivals for spring and summer! Hope you guys enjoyed these new pieces!

The In Between

Style

Spring is near which means transition season is in full swing! We all struggle with how to stay warm while not wearing knits. This means now is the time to find the balance between winter and spring.
I love to mix and match so this is one of my favorites looks so far. I have paired my white bell sleeve top with a leather skirt and booties. The top is Gianni Bini and was purchased at Dillard’s. The skirt is from H&M and booties are Jessica Simpson. Although I was not able to link my exact finds, I did link some very similar pieces that are less expensive. I’d say that’s a win, right?
This look creates a great blend of winter and spring. The leather skirt has an edgy vibe and gives warmth for the more cooler days while the top has us ready for spring with fun bell sleeves and bright white.

Lacey’s Layers

Style
| necklaces | sweater | shorts (similar)  | boots | handbag |
Okay, you guys I’m obsessed with layering necklaces and these two from Lacey’s Layers are perfect!! The Horizontal Gemstone Bar Necklace would be excellent to wear every day and it being black makes it very versatile to pair with any outfit. I also love where it hits on my neck because it’s not too short or long. Then we have the Crystal Drop Necklace with turquoise spike stones. This necklace is longer and makes it easy to layer with the bar necklace. It has more of a fun boho theme to it and I think the colors mix very well together. I would highly recommend grabbing these for stocking stuffers this season!

Saved By The Bell

Style

Fall is in full swing and it’s all about the bells, from bell bottoms to bell sleeves!
This lace crop top is the perfect color for fall and the volume of the sleeves had me in love at first sight! I wore a nude strapless bandeau underneath the crop top because it is see through.
Although I paired the crop top with jeans you could easily pair it with a skirt or high waist dress pants.
I am still obsessing over these bell bottom jeans too, btw. The added buttons give me a 70’s feel making it the perfect fit for the long-sleeve crop top.

Overall(s) The Perfect Balance

Style

| Overalls | Crop Top (similar) | Booties | Hat (similar) |
Transitioning from summer to fall is made easy in this trendy look. These overalls bring a fun vibe to any wardrobe. They are great for the warmer days and how about that pattern? The palm tree pattern and fall colors make the perfect balance while changing seasons. I was obsessed instantly! What about you?
Here I have paired these overalls with a black crop top and my Cole Haan booties.
I have tagged the brand of the overalls in the link, but I purchased these at The Perfect Touch in Demopolis, AL. They have a location in Tuscaloosa, AL as well. This is one of my favorite local stores to shop at because of the huge selection of styles they offer.
My Cole Haan booties are my go-to as you can tell from how worn they are in these pics. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. They are so comfortable and hold up very nicely. They also pair well making them easy to dress outfits up and down.

Ruffles + Buttons

Style

Ruffles on ruffles are so IN! I’m predicting they will be a HUGE hit this fall! Here I have paired my off-the-shoulder ruffle top with bell bottom jeans and please tell me you checked out that button detail?
My jeans are the brand, Just Black, and they are super comfortable, trendy, and fit true to size. They give me a 70’s vibe no doubt and I couldn’t be more obsessed! They are a little long so I definitely wear heels, but with being 5’8 I’m not so sure how they would fit someone shorter.
The heels I have styled with this look are the “Dolce Vita Lyndon Gladiator Lace Up Heel Sandals.” These have been my favorite heels of the summer and have never left my feet dying after a long night which is a huge plus I’d say!
Although I am unable to find these products online I have linked similar items so you guys can still accomplish the same look.
I really hope you guys have enjoyed this look and If you would to see more of my fall predictions leave a comment below!

Here it’s all about the details, from statement pieces and denim. This is an edgy look that could be taken from casual to dressy very easily.
I have paired my black crop top, which I purchased from Urban Outfitters with my denim Top Shop shorts. The statement pieces, such as the long tuxedo jacket, heels, and boho necklace bring this look from casual to edgy.
If you’re interested in a more casual style just lose the jacket, necklace, and heels. Bring out the vans and bomber jacket instead.
